No. 17 Gronnestolen Farm

No. 17. Gronnestolen Farm is a group of buildings dating back to the 1780s, originally a country residence, but run as a farm from 1810 right up to the 1960s. Today the animal husbandry has been reduced to a few free-range hens and a cat. The farm now covers a good 5 acres and consists of the main building and pigsty (belonging to no. 19). The outbuilding, cottage, smithy, and hen house are now No.17.
The buildings have been kept in good repair and from the exterior have virtually retained their original appearance. The building for rent was originally the outbuilding, torn down to its foundations, re-built to residential standards with modern double rooms of differing design, color and size.
There is a common lounge, kitchen and two shared bathrooms. The units are fully equipped, and the beds are made up. A spin-dryer and washing machine are available on the lower ground floor. Free parking space for cars. The building is fitted with connected fire alarms.
Quiet rural surroundings, 4 km from the centre of Bergen. Good walking terrain in the woodland of Langeskogen and on Lovstakken, one of Bergen's seven mountains.
Sights close by: Art Gallery, Gamlehaugen (Bergen's royal residence), Trollhaugen (home of Edvard Grieg) and Fantoft Stave Church.
