The hotel was established in 1919 and is the oldest family-run hotel in Bergen. Following extensive modernization, the hotel today is a fine combination of traditional styles with a modern, award-winning interior. The hotel is a splendid alternative for those who wish high standards and personal service at reasonable prices.

The prize-winning restaurant on the ground floor, Kjøbmandsstuen (the Merchants Rooms), in an intimate and rustic style, is fully-licensed. The chef offers a rich and varied à la carte menu of fish specialties and grill dishes.

Centrally situated in the shopping and harbor area. Walking distance to Bergen city centre sights such as the Aquarium, Fish Market and the Funicular. 1 km to the railway station, 300 meters to the express-boat terminal and 10 km to Bergen Airport (Flesland). Car parking facilities (8).
