Kinsarvik
Kinsarvik has good opportunities for walking/skiing and is an excellent starting point on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. You can also hire rowing boats and canoes. Kinsarvik Church, dating from 1160, is one of the oldest stone churches in Norway.
Open 10.00-19.00 (May 1-September 15). We would also recommend a visit to Hardanger Souvenirs, which has a factory shop selling the famous Hardanger cutlery. Free tour of the production premises every Wednesday at 13.30 (June 1-August 30).
You can round off the day with a good meal at Kinsarvik Fjord hotel.
