Going to Flaam? Joining the 'Norway in at Nutshell' trip? Driving from Oslo to Bergen? Skahjem Gard is situated close to Flaam and offers accommodation.
At Skahjem Gard we have 7 holiday apartments for 4-5 persons, both with one and two separate rooms. All are fitted with en-suite bathrooms with shower, cable-TV and a well equipped kitchen. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
In addition to these fine apartments, there is also a cabin for 3 without en-suite bathrooms. Private toilet and shower is located in the main apartment building. There is opportunity for fishing in the Aurland river.
Skahjem Gard is located next to the main road between Oslo and Bergen, and the centre of Aurland is only 3 km ( 2m ) away. Flåm station is only 10 minutes away by car. The location is an excellent base for roundtrips in the area, both on the fjord, along the road or hiking in the magnificent Aurland Valley.
In addition to hosting these holiday homes, Skahjem Gard is also a family run farm throughout the year, mainly keeping sheep. Indeed the Norwegian word gard means farm in English.
