Bergen Byspills main goal is to create theatre by taking new and untraditional stage areas into use, mainly outdoors and preferably related to historical monuments and buildings. Also to bring theatre performances and theatrical events closer to the public by popping up in different places, with a vast number of characters and spectacular shows.

A group of freelance professional stage artists are the ground stone of the ensemble. When a large production is under way, there are theatre courses for amateurs and children, so that they are able to join the ensemble in their inspiring work as the production is being made.

Bergen Byspill makes small performances and specially adapted plays and events for any kind of festival, grand opening or conference taking place.
