Bjørgvin Marknad.

Bjorgvin Marknad (market) is a festival where we will take you back to the Viking and medieval ages. The festival lasts from Friday June 01st to Sunday the 03rd. It will be located at mount Fløyen, the famous mountain overlooking Bergen.
For your convenience we suggest that you take the funicular cable car "Fløybanen" up to mount Fløyen. But if you are in fair shape, it is no problem to walk up to the mountain as well. Fløybanen is located near the fish market in the centre of Bergen.
We take no entrance fee at the festival, but we hope visitors that like the festival, will give a donation as they leave. On the festival you can witness fighting scenes with re-enactment groups, you can practice your skill with bow and arrow at the archery range, and have a look at the merchandise for sale at the market.
We will also have historic exhibitions of daily life in Bergen (Viking name Bjorgvin) and lectures by professors in history, and we will also serve food prepared like they did 1000 years ago. This will be a visit to remember!
