St. Jorgen Church (Leprosy Church)

The church forms part of the old leprosy hospital buildings and was originally built in the Middle Ages, but rebuilt after the great fire in 1702. It is now used for special services for students, associations, English congregations etc.

Guided tours on request on site, highly recommended. English and Norwegian language guides, by request.

Situated in the center of Bergen, walking distance from the Fish Market.

St. Jorgen’s Church is a part of the Leprosy Museum – St. George’s Hospital.
