Nygaardsparken Recreation Park – Alert!

The Nyggardsparken Recreation Park is a lovely park next to the center in Bergen. The park was built in 1880 opened in 1885 for the public, then known as Nygaards Park Society (Nygaards Parkselskap). Approx. 75 acres of land. Designed in English landscape style.

Festplassen – a place to relax and for happenings

Festplassen is the recreation area between Lille Lungegaardsvann, Rasmus Meyers Allé, Christies gate and Kaigaten. It is used for the May 17th celebration (since 1929), fun fairs, amusement parks, feast day and festivals.

Ole Bulls Plass

In 1917 this area was named after the violinist and composer Ole Bull. At his square you’ll see sculptures like Ole Bull and Lying Poet. At this square you’ll also find of the most well-known meeting places in Bergen: The Blue Stone. This work of art is created by Asbjorn Andersen. Location: Center of Bergen.
